lights, camera, action | brad: the movie

Hat tip from Renee at A Day in the Journey. I thought this would be fun, so here goes…

If your life were a movie, what would the soundtrack be? [More so, a pseudo-movie...]

Here’s how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. When you go to a new question, press the next button

[I tweaked a few of the categories...]

Here’s what happened with my ’shuffle’ [kind've scary] with accompanying notes:

OPENING CREDITS: “Because” by the Beatles from Love

“Love is all, love is new
Love is all, love is you”

The haunting, acapella Beatles opens up brad: the movie in a delectable way as the credits roll by in a Batik Regular…

WAKING UP: “Outrageous” by Paul Simon from Surprise

“And I’m tired, nine hundred sit-ups a day.
I’m painting my hair the colour of mud, mud, okay?
I’m tired, tired, anybody care what I say? No!
Painting my hair the colour of mud”

The sound alarms, Brad hops up, does a few situps, gets in the shower and then primps, making futile attempts to style his hair with Bedhead.

FIRST DAY AT COLLEGE: “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette from MTV Unplugged

“Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything’s okay and everything’s going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything’s gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face”

The first day of college is like life ’sneaking up on you.’ Brad realizes his independence is real and heads straight for White Castle.
